Learning Profiles

When I observe about my profile, I figured that I need to sit a little bit on the left facing Mr. Peters, because I listen with my right ear, and I see with my left eye. So that there might be a possibility for me to pay attention more.

1. I learned best when Mr. Whitting and Ms. Recter told us about the Gestalt and Logic, because I didn't really get what is the different, and now I understand.
2. I need to sit where I would be comfortable enough to hear and see the teacher, because I could pay attention more.
3. The strategies that would help me in learning would help me a lot, because, in my profile, when I forgot something that was important, I would do the Lazy 8 to refresh my memories and I could remember it what I forgot.
4. I would like my teacher to know about this, because he could help me to study more, move my seat, etc, so that I could be comfortable with my educations.

Taking A Stand

The Germans were going to throw stones at the Jewish shop tomorrow, but Andre doesn't know what to do, so he ask his father what should he do. But his father said that it is his decision. When he came back to his house, his parents were on his table, discussing. And Andre said that he decided to not throw stones at the Jewish shop, because he doesn't feel right to do it. So, his parents decided to leave Germany.

I would not throw stones at the Jewish shop, because, I would imagine that we are all humans. There are no difference, we are all the same. So I feel wrong that we are attacking our own kinds, so I would not throw stones at the Jewish shop.

Analyzing Visual Images

Describe what you see in the picture. Consider color, placement, people and objects, and composition. Everything that you see.
In the picture, I see family who are happy and celebrating. The color is just black and white. I see that the family are happy with together and there is a young girl who is holding a doll with a smile. And I think they post this poster, because, they want to describe their citizens how their nations are healthy and happy when they join the Nazi party.
Interpret: Guess about the creator is trying to express through the caption and images. Why is this message being conveyed?
Evaluate: What is the intended purpose of this image? The intended audience? Does the image achieve its purpose?
I think the creator post this photo especially for posting it for party votes, because this image is about family and happiness, and I think that's what Germany wants, to be happy with peace. This image also tells to make a happy family, a wife, kids, etc. And this would have a lot of people to join the party who created this image.
Today we studied some of the aspects of propaganda and its uses, particularly in regard to Nazi Germany. First of all, answer this question: What is the definition of the wordpropaganda? Next, why was it used so extensively by Hitler and the Nazis?
Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position. Hitler was posting a lot of posters, and with the announcement he made to bring the people to join him, but the Nazis were also giving a responsible laws to join them, and they were also posting more posters.

Where do they stand?

The person we read was Elisabeth von Kohler. She was a strong sense of German traditions. She would like to see the republic lead a democratic Europe. Her sense of justice is even more outraged by the way the Allies, particularly France. And she is also proud to be an attorney and a German woman in the Weimar Republic. We think that Kohler would join Social Democratic Party Platform, because it's laws says that it will support the present German republic so that freedom, democracy, and justice will live in the hearts of our German countrymen, and that is what she wants. I think there would be less people who would join her, because, she is to straightforward like men.

Adolf Hitler

  • Adolf Hitler was among those veterans who struggled to find a place for themselves in 1919.
  • Hitler, in particular, wanted to distinguish himself.
  • Born in 1889 in a small Austrian town, he was one of six children, four of whom died in childhood. His father died when he was fourteen and he lost his mother a few years later. By then Hitler had left school with little more than an eighth- grade education and dreams of becoming an artist.
  • When the war began, Hitler was a drifter struggling.
8 and 10 are unfair because 8 is giving excuses for foreigner peoples because some made their home at Germany, but they need to move on and waste their savings to move another country. And some foreigners might have their family and friends who are Germans, and they need be separated from them. 10 is also unfair because the foreigners would not know German languages, so they don't know what is happening in Germany.

If they have 2 nationality, do you need to leave after August 2, 1914?

I would have said that leave that person alone, because, he would gotten hurt by the gang and would do something worse to him.
