Religions Field Trip Reflection

This Hindu temple called 'Sri Mahamariamman', and the place is really wide and big, and I think it is almost bigger than the mosque. The Hindu temple looks a lot more creative than the Buddhist temple and the mosque, because Hindu temple have a lot sculptures, and it is really creative and talented pattern. I could just imagine how hard they created the pattern of the tower that looks like a pyramid. It have a lot of decoration inside, and it is also crowded. I think Hindu is close to Buddhist and Islam, because, Buddhist have a lot of creation, and Islam, they need to wash their hands, elbow, mouth, hair, legs. But Hindu is close because they need to wash their feet before entering the temple, and it is same as Islam.
This temple is really creative with a lot patterns, but the place is small. I could see that there are two ancient looking guards, two golden dragon, and a lion statue. In this photo, the Buddhist temple have a lot of red color, but when we went inside, it have a lot of decorations. Buddhist temple is almost similar to Hindu temple, because both of the temple are creative and almost colorful. It also have a lot of pattern.
The mosque looks like a quiet and a sacred looking place. When I took this picture, I can't see a person, except tall trees and the mosque. Although it looks quiet, but the building is wide and big. I could also see that there are a lot of door patterns, and 2 tall towers. What I think that mosque is not really similar as the other temple, because it is not really colorful, but the patterns are nice, almost similar to the Hindu temple and Buddhist temple.

Hindu temple and Buddhist temple uses fire to pray or to use for something, and they use sculpture to describe their Gods, but Islam doesn't use sculpture and fire, but they use water to clean themselves, and it is same as the Hindu. Hindu temple is similar to Buddhist temple and Islam. But Islam is a little different than the two temples, because, they don't have sculpture, they have a big place. They pray in front of a sacred scripts which was hanging on the wall. And Islam people wash themselves in a different way. First they clean their hands until the elbow, then the mouth, face, ear, hair, and then legs. Islam place looks like a quiet place, like sacred and the place was also wide and big compared from the two temples. But Hindu temples is a lot bigger than the Buddhist. Hindu believes that there are a lot of different kinds of Gods, that can reincarnate, guide you, help you, giving you a good luck or bad luck, etc. Islam believes that when they do a good deed, they would have no harm from the Gods. Buddhist believes that when you do a good deeds, there is a God that send you a happy place when you died, but if you do a bad deeds, there is a devil that would keep your bad spirits away. I like all of them because they were really interesting! I learned many things about it, and it was fun! I love to see the places, the decorations that they made, how they build it, what they believed, what they need to do, and their festivals.

The Boy in the Stripped Pyjamas Blog Answers

If you disagree with a rule, law, or public policy, it is better to remain silent then to speak out and risk punishment: I would think that you could speak out first on the right time, if there are a lot of people who votes to disagree with laws, then you have a bigger chance of not risking your life. And if you have a bigger people who votes for you, the laws would change into better life, and you wouldn't suffer any laws, rule, or public policy.

What is a 'Good' life?

Good life are peoples who are lucky. They would be very lucky enough to survive by having a wealthy family. What I heard that, before you were born, you were a different person. And if that person have done a good things along his journey, he will be very lucky when he is born.

The Chronicles Of Narnia

So far, I read about two peoples in the book. One was Polly a female, and Digory a male. They were talking about Uncle Andrew. (Pg 1) This is a story about something that happened long ago when your grandfather was a child. I chose this passage because it tells me that our grandfather had gone thorough a lot of journeys.

Post Discussion Reflection (March 2nd )

During the discussion, I felt really good on the passages and the 2nd question. Because, I had a good explanation and my group had agreed what I was saying. I was really at that part. I have also already get used to my group because we spend a lot of time discussing with each other and I have became their friends ( Girls). I also realized that it is the last day of the Literature Circles and I am really happy because, the Literature Circles is quite busy and the blog post too. I also don't read books much, so I dislike reading books. But what I have learned from the Literature Circles, is helping me to learn a lot of sentences and a lot of vocabulary to use. I now realized that we are having another Literature Circles, and I think it is going to be a lot fun reading the new book because, I have increased my knowledge of reading books. I am excited to read a new book.

Post Discussion Reflection (Feb 23rd)

The yesterday discussion of The White Mountains was really brilliant. I have explained really well to push my effort forward. I was really focusing on the discussion group. I felt really happy with my first question because, my first question was really interested that my group could answer little details. I was so happy that I have improved a lot and I feel that I'm going to get a wonderful grades on the discussion. But I feel pretty bad about one of group, because her question was really obvious from the story and but she was really good on the important passages. I realize that my passages didn't gave much details, but I'm still proud of what I did on the discussion. I am also happy of learning how to do Literature Circles, and using blog to send to my teacher. I really, really feel that I have done successful work and because of this, I hope that I would be a successful student in the class.

Post Discussion Reflection (Feb 17th)

Today's Literature Circles was very interesting. My group have gave a interesting good question and the passages too. We were really acting courage and it makes sense for helping myself to support my answers and supporting some of my group pupil. Although it was interesting, I accidently made the 4-6 SENTENCES into 4-6 WORDS. I couldn't believe that I did that, but in the next 2 chapter, I will do it so well that my grade would be better than the my last grade. It makes me happy that I am improving very well. And I hope that my grade would keep it up and wouldn't have many struggling in my homework and my tests.

Post Discussion Reflection (Feb 12th)

Last Tuesday, the discussion with my group was really interesting and this time I showed a lot of wonderful answers and giving supportive sentences and understanding. The chapter that I read before last Tuesday ( Feb 9) was really exciting and I had understand the readings from the book. And I was correct from my Literature Circles 2 in my question. I was really happy that I am changing myself to be smart, a lot effort in ideas and understanding what my group are saying. I hope that my grade would have a better score in Literature Circles 2. I also think that The White Mountains would be even more interesting and has a lot of adventures and several dangers.

Post Discussion Reflection (Feb 3rd)

The discussion that we did yesterday with my group, I was really amazed and it was so interesting. I can't really understand from reading the book. But then, my group discussed a lot of interesting passages and questions. I now understand what I read from the book. I also don't understand many different new words from the book, but my group helped me a lot to understand. I thought that Will's father was a clockman, but I was wrong. They explain to me that he is a mill. And the person who work for the watch is the clockman. No wonder that I was really confused because I misread. Will's father had a famous watch which I thought that he made it and the clockman which I made a mistake that he is just a clockman who came to see the watch everyday. We also discussed about the Tripods, I thought that the Tripods is quite harmless, but my group discussed that Tripods are not harmless. They think that Tripods take people and observe their brains to know what were they doing in the past and maybe finding interesting ideas from the people. I think that each chapter is getting more exciting and interesting.
